Medium: Watercolours and Light Gold Paint on Archival Quality Paper.
This took me quite some time. And it's the first full watercolour that I can honestly say I'm very proud of. I'm always taking shortcuts and using textures and such in my artworks and I'm still likely to do that. But from start to finish this was a completely traditional work and I believe it's one of my best.
So, for your enjoyment, I present, The Giraffe Dreaming. I won't give you a story or an explanation but I hope you will enjoy imagining one for yourselves.
Thank God for images that just pop into your head sometimes. They are in my opinion the most enjoyable things to draw.
Work In Progress Shots:
P.S. Apologies for the poor quality photograph, will scan tomorrow hopefully!

The story I get from this would be; a Bambi like story/ Lion King story. The parent giraffe has passed away but her soul still remains with her young one. Caresses the young one in darkness... brings the light and stars to her comfort.
