sweet, says the boy
young lips taunt
of honey, whispers
strike with uncanny
ability, shame ridden
away under blue
skies and vacant eyes.
he never liked me
she fears, though
whispers say otherwise
too many years
of non belief
and malcontent remind
her of that tormented
time.
pride is a sin
worn closer then
any skin, easy
enough to burst
difficult to escape
impossible to live
without regret, without
thought
he knows his own
wrongs, just as you
who holds the wrongs
closer then pride
cry silent tear
honey, says the boy
its okay, i'm here.

Critiques
Whispers speaks of the insecurities that we all experience in our lives, especially those of teenagers, funny how they seem to follow us even into our adult years.
I also adore the use of nature in this piece, the world around us is such an inspiration, in this lovely piece it has been use so well you don't even notice it until you really look for it.
this has so much depth, raw talent, it's just a beautiful read, from a wonderful artist!
